This is the first session of Part B. Tonight we begin doing end-to-end patient treatment during the scenarios. We begin with "Hi, I'm Joe" and go right through sending them on their way or loading them into a sled. We get to fix it as well as find it. Come prepared to play the part of patroller or patient on the snow. Your ability to get into the role and conduct the scenario realistically will determine how well you and your classmates learn.
Practice your complete assessment over and over again on loved ones, the dog or whoever you can catch.
We will add lower extremity bandaging to our bag of tricks during the guided practice. The presentation will catch up with the kinds of injuries which result in the need for bandaging and how our bodies heal from soft tissue wounds.
